What is it?

In the 25th century, humanity has long since set out for the stars. It has traveled to the far reaches of the galaxy, and yet it has never encountered any other forms of intelligent life.
While searching the central archives of Old Earth, you discovered that a planet named Artemia had been removed from official maps and that no other data was available. Intrigued, you organize an expedition.
Initial surveys of Artemia’s surface reveal a Class M planet, hospitable to humans and home to a rich and varied flora and fauna. As you enter the atmosphere, a powerful magnetic field disables the onboard computers. After sending out an SOS, the captain orders the evacuation of the ship before the inevitable crash.
Safe and sound, you begin exploring the surroundings when you hear your captain’s death cries. In the distance, you make out a figure watching you.

You are not alone…

Gameplay

NOT ALONE is an asymmetrical game pitting one player (the Creature) against the other players (the Castaways).

If you play as one of the Castaways, you’ll explore Artemia using Location cards. With the help of your Survival cards, you’ll try to evade the Creature’s pursuit until help arrives.

If you play as the Creature, you’ll hunt down the Castaways from space in order to assimilate them into the planet’s biomass. With the help of your Hunt cards and Artemia’s manifestations, your repeated assaults will gradually break the Castaways’ will, inevitably binding them to the planet.
